Designer Discussion with Kenny Nguyen

October 2, 2025 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Ever wondered how silk can become sculpture?

In Confluence, artist Kenny Nguyen uses hand-cut silk as both material and metaphor for transformation—layering, cutting, and reshaping it into sculptural forms that blur the boundaries between painting, sculpture, and textile.

On October 2, 6–8 PM, Nguyen takes us inside his practice during a special designer discussion at The Branch. The evening will be moderated by Renee Lamb, professor in the VCUarts Fashion Department, who brings over 20 years of experience working with textiles.
