Current Exhibitions
Visit The Branch to see Re-Think Design the current exhibition on view. Starting in July and continuing through the year’s end, The Branch will host monthly lectures and events that re-think the power of design across a range of disciplines from architecture and urban planning to fashion, industrial and graphic design.
The Branch is also open for walk-in architectural and historic self-guided/audio tours. Please check our calendar for any upcoming Branch events that may interfere your plans.
Parking
Free parking is available in the First Baptist Church lot adjacent to The Branch. There are entrances to the parking lot from Park Avenue and Robinson Street. There is a gated entrance to our front courtyard through the brick wall bordering the parking lot. Please help us preserve the street parking for our neighbors by parking in this lot.
Directions
The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design is located at 2501 Monument Avenue, in Richmond’s historic Fan District, at the intersection of Monument and Davis Avenues.
From downtown, take Grace Street west to Davis, turn left and travel one block. The Branch is on Monument Avenue opposite the next intersection.
From I-95 North or I-64 West, take exit 78 toward Boulevard. Turn left from ramp onto Hermitage Rd. Make first right onto Robin Hood Rd. and next left onto VA-161/N. Boulevard. Proceed one mile and turn left onto Broad Street, then turn right at the third light onto Davis Ave. Go two blocks, and The Branch is on Monument Avenue opposite the next intersection.
From I-95 South or I-64 East, take exit 78 and turn right onto Boulevard. Proceed one mile and turn left onto Broad Street, then turn right at the third light onto Davis Ave. Go two blocks, and The Branch is on Monument Avenue opposite the next intersection.
Accessibility
The step-free entrance is located on the right side of the building, which leads to the back garden/building door (please call (804)655-6055 upon arrival if you are entering the building through this door). The 1st floor of the building has an elevator that leads to the wheelchair-accessible bathroom located on the Ground floor. A gender-neutral bathroom is located on the 2nd floor.
