Following a comprehensive exhibit in fall 2017 of the illustrations of Carlton Abbott throughout his career, Mr. Abbott gave to the Branch Museum on long term loan some of his illustrations of Richmond.

On view in the Lower Level Hallway are Mr. Abbott’s illustrations of beautifully detailed landscapes, buildings, scenery — some as visions for the future of Richmond, and some to document the city’s changes.
