Join us at The Branch Museum on Thursday, May 11th, at 6 PM for a lecture with Architectural Historian, Calder Loth.
This lecture will offer an illustrated presentation on Virginia’s Colonial Revival architecture. Much of the Commonwealth, and especially Richmond, is defined by colonial-style buildings: houses, churches, schools, public buildings, shops, and offices, some more than a century old. Many are comforted by the aesthetics of our colonial period and continue to maintain it in new construction. Whether we celebrate or deride this heritage, it needs to be understood.
