Private Event: An Evening with Sanford Kogan & RVA Baroque
Join us on Thursday, October 22at 6pm for an evening of conversation and music with artist Sanford Kogan and an ensemble from RVA Baroque. This is a private event that requires a registration password.
Kogan will share several of his works and the ideas behind his artistic practice, FroiDesign. Taken from the French word froid, meaning “cold," FroiDesign explores what happens when objects that have been left “cold” are given new life. The evening puts that idea into practice through a special musical performance with RVA Baroque. Using a found 18th-century French songbook, guests will be invited to select a piece from its pages and hear music that has not been played for nearly two centuries.
In a moment of shared discovery, guests and musicians alike will experience something forgotten being brought back to life.
Donations are welcomed.
