Opening as the nation marks its 250th anniversary, Americana examines America as a brand: how the country’s identity has been shaped and projected through design, advertising, photography, fashion, and popular culture.
Work by pop artists and Guggenheim fellows invites visitors to consider the gap between the America we imagine and the America we experience.
