The Branch currently offers part-time, unpaid internships for current undergraduate students as well as recent graduates. Internships can be applied for school credit, depending on curriculum requirements.
Internships are offered on a semester basis, following the academic year. Below are the time periods to which you can apply:
- Spring (February-May) – application deadline is November 15, 2016
- Summer (June-August) – application deadline is February 15, 2017
- Fall (September-December) – application deadline is July 1, 2017
General administrative support, basic accounting tasks, and support payables and receivables record keeping.
Day-to-day operations in support of Foundation Executive Director, research, mailings, and special projects as assigned.
Daily gallery operations and assistance, research projects in support of exhibitions and programs, assist with exhibition installation and support museum events.
Assist with fundraising and campaign efforts and events, conduct donor research, assist with grant proposal process and help maintain the museum’s donor database.
Support the development of educational programming for all ages, assist in delivering educational programs to the public, develop content for lectures/community events, draft lesson plans for K-12 grades, research potential educational programs and partnerships.
Assist museum events/programs/tours, help coordinate with caterers and event planners, draw up and complete contracts, manage museum events calendar, and help plan annual events.
- Facilities Management
Assist in preservation projects of The Branch House through research, documentation, assessment surveys; historic structures reports, and general facilities oversight.
Assist with regular museum newsletters, email campaigns, online promotions, social media support, and special events. Help edit and proof marketing materials and prep for distributions.
Manage visitor services as assigned, general administrative support, assist in volunteer/docent management and coordination, draft proposals for future museum programs and outreach initiatives.
