The Branch is pleased to be the tour headquarters for this year’s Historic Garden Week Tour on Monument Avenue. This self-guided walking tour includes works by William Lawrence Bottomly, W. Duncan Lee, and other prominent Richmond designers. More information regarding the Monument Avenue Historic Garden Week walking tour can be found here.
As part of the Garden Week activities, guided tours of The Branch Museum of Architecture and Design will be offered at 10:00 a.m., 2 and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, April 28. The Branch is housed in a Tudor-revival building designed by John Russell Pope, the architect of the former Broad Street Station and the west wing of the National Gallery of Art. It is on the National Register of Historic Homes. Branch House tours are led by Museum Director, Dr. Craig Reynolds. Pre-registration is highly recommended, as space is limited.
*This tour is not included in the Monument Avenue walking tour or Virginia Garden Week ticket purchases.
All guided tours of the Branch Museum are $8 in advance or at the door.
