SUMMARY:TORTURETWINN - Live at the Branch
DESCRIPTION:TORTURETWINN was born out of a detached two-car garage in a back alleyway of Carytown in Richmond\, VA. It was here that Andrew Devin Georgieff lived and began writing his debut album\, ‘BLOOD LOVE’ back in 2019. After quitting his corporate job of five years and selling his house to dedicate his life to music\, Andrew Devin released BLOOD LOVE on April 18\, 2025. A review from Alice Teeple of Post-Punk.com states\, ‘BLOOD LOVE spills forth like a clandestine confession whispered over late-night diner coffee. It’s raw yet polished\, drawing generously from the sepia-tinted sounds of ’80s pop-rock titans like Bruce Springsteen and Tears For Fears.’ \nListen to TORTURETWINN on Spotify here. Check out the recording process below and learn more at torturetwinn.com \nLive at the Branch is sponsored by The E. Rhodes and Leona B. Carpenter Foundation. \nGet Tickets Here!

SUMMARY:Live at The Branch: John Emil
DESCRIPTION:Purchase Tickets Here \nJoin us at The Branch on Wednesday\, September 3rd for a mini-concert featuring John Emil. \nJohn Emil\, an accomplished singer/songwriter\, guitarist\, and a master of slide guitar\, has delivered show-stopping performances across the United States and United Kingdom. His notable appearances include major festivals such as the Atlanta Blues and Bluegrass Fest\, Leek Blues & Americana Festival UK\, Abber Jazz & Blues Fest Wales UK\, and Garden & Gun Festival. His expanding repertoire of prestigious venues spans from the historic Coister Ballroom at Sea Island GA\, where he opened for The Steep Canyon Rangers\, to the elegant Boston Library Courtyard as part of the City of Boston Summer Concert Series. \nEqually adept with the acoustic Hawaiian lap steel guitar and Dobro\, fans hear haunting\, subtle hints of Delta bluesmen Son House and Blind Willie Johnson\, but John Emil ultimately creates a unique style all his own by integrating country blues\, folk and bluegrass sounds into his repertoire. \nHis international reach extends throughout the UK music scene\, with acclaimed performances at venerable venues including The Howlin Wolf Club in Glasgow\, Scotland\, Mrs Yarringtons Music Club in Battle\, and the Going Up The Country Blues and Roots Club in Worthenbury\, Wales. Domestically\, he’s graced stages from Smiths Olde Bar in Atlanta to intimate settings like the Howard County Historical Society Concert series in Maryland. \nRoutinely taking the lost art of slide guitar in a new direction\, John has composed a wealth of slide guitar tracks for media production libraries. His instrumental tracks have been published by LA Post Music Los Angeles\, Songs to Your Eyes Los Angeles and Strange Fruit South Africa. John became the first American musician to be published by London’s KPM/EMI\, one of the world’s largest production libraries. Among the many television and cable network shows John has supplied music for NBC’s Dateline\, Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations\, American Pickers\, and several international wildlife and nature documentaries.
